Building social protection floors for all

 

The ILO Global Flagship Programme on Building Social Protection Floors for All has been helping countries strengthen their social protection systems since 2016. The program's foundation is based on international social security standards and social dialogue. It helps nations build sustainable, universal, and comprehensive social protection systems that manage life cycle risks, help people through transitions and economic shocks, and reduce poverty, inequality, and social exclusion in combination with other national policies.

Key Goals and Approach

Through key partnerships, the program encourages national ownership of universal social protection and promotes the use of international social security standards. Ultimately, its goal is to ensure the human right to social security and an adequate standard of living for all.
