10 careers requiring a bachelor’s degree that will have the most job openings through 2034

For many college students, choosing a major can feel like a gamble. But a new labor projections show which careers are most likely to be in demand over the next decade.

The Bureau of Labor Statistics’ latest career outlook report for 2024-2034 identifies occupation openings that typically require a bachelor’s degree. These jobs are expected to account for millions of positions each year.

The bureau estimates there will be 19 million openings over the next decade with many resulting from the need to replace workers who leave the labor force or switch careers.
